Let’s face it – teachers have their pets! We asked SMS faculty and staff to show us their favorite fur babies.
We have Mr. Fuentes and his beagle, Chavo.
This is Mr. Fuentes with his dog, Chavo, a beagle dog that he met in San Diego. Mr. Fuentes got Chavo when he was only 3 months old as a gift for his birthday. Like Mr. Fuentes says, “Chavo is playful, energetic, loving, and fun. Chavo likes to go on hikes, chase squirrels, and play with other dogs.” Chavo is currently 6 years old.
Meet Mr. Zimmer’s dogs, Amber and Max:
According to Mr. Zimmer, “Amber is currently 16 years old, and Max currently is 9 years old.”
Next we have Ms. Bell and her doberman, Wednesday.
Wednesday is Ms. Bell’s Doberman which she met when her daughter adopted Wednesday‘s sister. Ms. Bell says, “We fell in love with her, and she joined our family at that moment.” At first it was a bit complicated because like Ms. Bell states, “Her personality was just like Wednesday Addams. She was serious, and she would just stare at us. Now that she is comfortable with us, she is super energetic and affectionate, but she refuses to walk on a leash. So Wednesday!” Wednesday is currently almost 2 years old.
We also have on our list Ms. Perrigue and her dog, Yogi.
This is Ms. Perrigue’s dog Yogi which was found in a chicken coop by someone who lived in her neighborhood and needed a home. Ms. Perrigue describes her dog as “Super friendly, has lots of energy, loves to walk and do yoga with me, looks like he has a permanent smile on his face.” Yogi is currently 3 years old.
We have here Mr. Acevedo and his dog, Jeter.
Mr. Acevedo has a dog named Jeter which he rescued from an animal shelter. Mr. Acevedo says, “Jeter is a hiker! He can hike all day and all night! He is for anything outdoors!” Jeter is currently 11 years old.
Last but not least we have Ms. Cube and the pets she rescued.
Ms. Cube has a dog named Adobo who is a labrador pitbull mix she rescued. Ms. Cube states, “He is the sweetest dog ever but he is also very protective. He is our guard dog.” Adobo is currently a senior 10 year old dog.
She also has another pitbull mix whose name is Tionala which she adopted from a litter. As a matter of fact, she was the last one to be adopted. Ms. Cube says, “She is a quirky, social dog who loves to hang out with us at our feet.” Tinola is currently 3 years old.
