Even if you’re not an 8th grader, you have probably noticed the many activities leading up to Culmination. I got the list together that will help you remember and survive 8th grade Culmination.
May 21 Yearbook Pre-sale Distribution during Homeroom
May 23 Yearbook available in the Student Store
May 23 8th Grade Awards Night @ 5:00 pm
May 24 “Jr. Grad Nite” @ Six Flags Meet at Evans Hall at 3:10 pm.
NO backpacks! Return to SMS between 12:30 am – 1 am.
May 27 Memorial Day – No School
May 30 & 31 * 8th Grade Textbook Collection
June 4 Hall Locker Clean out
June 5 & 6 8th Grade Culmination Rehearsal
June 6 8th Grade Picnic
June 7 8th Grade Culmination Ceremony @ 8:00 am – 9:30 am
Students must arrive by 7:30 am for assembly. Parking will be available on the P.E. field.
June 7 Reverse Minimum Day (School begins at 10:15 am)

* 8th graders who are eligible for Culmination but who do not return their textbooks will be excluded from Culmination.
